This month’s blog is written in the unprecedented situation that we find ourselves in as a result of a particularly unpleasant virus doing the rounds. There is sadly lots of uncertainty about weddings planned for this year and also into next, but we want to share some positive news in that ‘behind the scenes’ the wedding dress industry is still very much full steam ahead!! We have been treated to some sneaky peeks by our amazing designers of the styles due to hit our boutique later in the year in preparation for 2021 and 2022 weddings and we are sooo excited!! So what will be seeing more of…….??
For brides still wanting the wow-factor of a cathedral length veil but with a less traditional feel then a cape is the way forward!! Lots of styles will feature detailed and detachable matching capes, or you can choose your own…either way it’s the perfect accompaniment to create that bit of drama.
Bows are BIG! We’re seeing lots of the simpler styles being vamped up with big and bold statement bows, usually at the back of the dress or across the bustline… chic and VERY elegant!
Classic Blue is this year’s Pantone Colour of the Year so expect to see plenty of blue shades featuring in wedding ‘themes’. The beauty of this timeless colour is that it works so well alongside ivory and white, but also the natural colours such as hessian and cappuccino and also soft pastels from the same palette. Sorella Vita bridesmaid colours ‘Evening Mist’ and ’Bluestone’ are winners if this is the look you’re going for.
